The pink prawn is a prized crustacean with a yellowish pink colour. It is caught with trawl nets in the Mediterranean Sea, FAO area 37.1.2, and then frozen on board in a 1 kg tray. Its firm, compact meat makes it particularly appreciated in many Italian recipes.
